The pad releases Sulphur Dioxide (SO ) gas 2 directly proportional to moisture and get activated as soon as it comes in contact with humidity

Unique 'Hydrophobic Multi-Layer Membrane' technology, wherein Multi-Stage Controlled Release of SO gas gets released when 2 exposed to moisture.

The active content with micro cellular slow release capsules is embedded between top glossy sheet and a gas permeable membrane. A perforated SO2 emitter helps to emit the SO2 gas without actual contact of the active material causing no harmful effects on the fresh produce.

How it works
FreshGuard SO pads are based on unique 2 Hydrophillic Membrane Technology, a specially developed multi-layer membrane from which Sulphur Dioxide gets released when exposed to moist vapour. Actual eld studies over the past few years in actual refrigeration conditions and research conducted and certied by recognized Grape testing body of the government of India and grape exporters, have proven that FreshGuard pads are well suited to act as a Grape guard to protect the grapes during storage and transit.

Specialtechnology is adopted in incorporating the Sodium MetaBisulphite, which acts as a SO release agent. These are 2 not particulate deposits and hence no residue (MRL< 10ppm) is found on the berries as commonly found.

Freshguard maintains a consistent controlled release of SO gas over a period of time. Studies 2 prove that inconsistent release of the gas results in bleaching, desiccation, fungal decay, sulphur injuries etc.

Extremely low particles of SO emitter are 2 formed and applied on to a backing support. As the surface area of the emitter increases multi-fold and thus provides high efciency in the release of the SO gas. This not only utilises 2 the entire Sodium MetaBisulphite content in our composition,(without having deleterious effect and efcacy of the product) but also reduces overall pollution of the product as disposal of unused Sodium MetaBisulphite is a big issue globally.
